Light Truck Tyre Regulation - Queensland Only, Utes Minitrucks Vans etc:

Finally now you can put your sick chromies on your commercial vehicles legally, as long as the wheel and tyre meets the load requirements. About the only thing to keep in mind is the 1.1 ratio rating rule when determining if a passenger car tyre is suitable ie. a 500kg light truck tyre must be replaced with a 550kg passenger car tyre. Yes you can replace with a passenger car tyre but must be higher load than the Light Truck tyre using the 1.1 rule.

QLD Perpetual vehicle registration:

There are organisations that offer perpetual vehicle registration over the internet. You cannot legally register your vehicle for road use with any organisation other than the Department of Transport and Main Roads. If you do purchase perpetual registration over the internet your vehicle will be considered unregistered and uninsured for compulsory third party insurance. You will be either fined for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle or summoned to appear before a magistrate if you are intercepted by a Queensland Police Officer or a Department of Transport and Main Roads Inspector. Any number plates issued as part of the perpetual registration are illegal and may be confiscated.
